City investigating "party house" where two boys drowned

City officials are now taking a closer look at the property where two boys drowned earlier this week. The two brothers, eleven year old Edgar Omar Santana and thirteen year old Erik Jose Santana, died after drowning in a pool at a house in the 3000 block of Pecos Plaza on Tuesday. Laredo Police are still investigating but are not sure if any charges will be filed against the owners of the home.
Meanwhile, the City of Laredo has issued a statement saying, “The City of Laredo Building Department is investigating to verify what, if any, permits would be required by the responsible party and if the responsible party had attained the applicable permits.”
Police say the house has been rented for parties and other events.
