Local youth brought a popular comic strip to life on the stage of the Laredo Little Theater this afternoon.
A talented cast of actors helped bring a bit of Broadway to Laredo with their performance of "Annie Jr."
The play tells the story of a spunky orphan determined during the great depression to find her parents who abandoned her on the doorstep of a New York City orphanage that was run by a cruel mistress.
It’s a play full of adventure, as little Annie foils the mistress's evil schemes.
Annie befriends President Roosevelt, and finds a new home with a billionaire family.
The play co-produced by the Laredo Little Theater and Peggy Phelps productions, will continue to run next weekend.
You can catch the play Friday, June 26. Saturday, June 27, and Sunday, June 28 at 8 p.m. over at the Laredo Little Theater.
There will also be a matinee showing next Sunday, June 28 at 3 p.m.
