County jail elevator repaired

Visitors are once again being allowed in to see inmates at the Webb County jail.
Visitors had been turned away since late last week... After the elevator broke down.
The jail commander Juan Hernandez says today its been fixed and is now up and running.
According to Hernandez the jail is in disrepair.
Juan Hernandez, Jail Commander-
"The elevator is one of the most pressing issues with the cooling system and some other issues that need to be looked at. What this all points to is that we need a new jail we need a new facility. This facility is over twenty three years old."
The public elevator is one of three elevators inside the jail.
A group of people had been stuck in it when it stopped working.
