Cell phone leads case of indecency with a child

A 25-year-old man is now behind bars after police say he had an inappropriate relationship with a 12-year-old girl.
According to police the relationship began through a cell phone call.
The U.S. Marshall's Gulf Coast violent offenders and fugitive task force in the Laredo division have arrested 25-year-old Adan David Rodriguez, a fugitive wanted by the Laredo police department for indecency with a child by exposure and indecency of a child by contact.
Rodriguez allegedly initiated a relationship with a 12-year-old girl by calling her on her cell phone.
Police tell us that Rodriguez got the girl on the phone by initially using another 12-year-old to call her.
The young girl eventually agreed to meet Rodriguez.
During that meeting he exposed himself to the girl and fondled her.

"Currently, we have 2 ongoing cases related to the same individual we've already arrested for this warrant we have. If anybody feels their child may have come in contact with this person and feel they've fallen into that similar pattern call PD at 795-2800."
Police arrested Rodriguez after a brief struggle with the man at the 31-hundred block of Pine Street.
He was taken to PD headquarters where he was additionally charged with resisting arrest.
