A Laredo First: 10 Commandment Monument Built

A local parish celebrated the unveiling of Laredo's first Ten Commandments monument this afternoon. Members of Blessed Sacrament Church were present for the dedication--including members of the Knights of Columbus, who helped raise money to purchase the monument. The front face of the statue depicts a replica of the Ten Commandments tablets laid out as a book on top of the stone. It's located on the west side of the parish hall to allow northbound traffic on Bartlett to be reminded of God's laws as they drive by.
