Girl Scouts get cookin' in the kitchen

The Girl Scouts of Greater South Texas are well into their "Star light, Star bright Day Camp". On Thursday they set the cookies aside and teamed-up with HEB to learn how to make the culinary classic, ‘pigs in a blanket.’ About a hundred girls participated in the event. The camp is being held in the new Lamar Bruni Vergara Girl Scouts facility. Girl Scout leader Sandra Guardiola says there are more than enough activities to keep the girls occupied over the summer. The Girl Scouts of Greater South Texas serves as many as 26 counties from as far south as McAllen to Corpus Christi.
