Webb recieves fed funding for colonias infrastructure

Webb County receives 690-thousand dollars in combined federal funding for infrastructure projects.
Half a million dollars will be used for sewer connections in colonia Penitas while the remaining 190-thousand dollars will go towards housing rehabilitation projects.
Today families from the colonia Penitas showed their gratitude.
And commissioner for their precinct Sergio "Keko" Martinez says this is long overdue.
"It guarantees the people in the colonias are gonna have the same quality of life as the residents of Laredo have."
This is the first time colonia Penitas west will receive water and sewer services.
