Case of neglected horses in hands of D.A.

By Ray Gomez

The case of the two neglected horses in El Cenizo is now in the hands of the district attorney's office.
According to the sheriff's investigators they went to the district attorney's office this morning.
Investigators say they presented the case with evidence of the day they found the horses laying in the empty lot.
But the district attorney's office advised sheriff's investigators to wait for the necropsy results from doctor Sandra Leyendecker.
The district attorney's say they need the cause of death of the horse for more evidence.
We brought you this story Tuesday where two horses were malnourished in El Cenizo.
One of them was laying on the ground and was not moving.
After arrival from doctor Leyendecker she decided to euthanize the horse on the spot because it was in pain.
The other horse is still in the custody of the Webb county sheriff's department.
