Man accused of prostituting his girlfriend is also a confessed murderer

The trial of an 18-year-old accused of prostituting his girlfriend continues.

Today the 15-year-old victim took the stand and talked about the abusive relationship between her and Jose Antonio Martinez, but this young man is already facing charges of capital murder in San Antonio for a different case.

The testimony from the 15-year-old girl lasted a couple of hours.

The teenager spoke about how 18-year-old Jose Antonio Martinez prostituted her after running out of money, at one point during her testimony she asked for a break because she was overwhelmed and emotional.

They had run away from San Antonio and Jose’s grandmother paid for a month stay at La Loma Alta motel.

"According to the testimony of the 15 year old girl, Jose Antonio Martinez had put four surveillance cameras inside the room. She also said this is where all the abuse and prostitution happened."

In her testimony she told the jury how Jose looked for two men to have sex with her.

Both men were staying in the same hotel.

She said at first she refused, but hungry and broke, she eventually gave in.

Now this isn’t Jose Antonio Martinez's only run-in with the law:

After he was arrested on prostitution charges here in Webb County, he posted bond and he went back to San Antonio.

In San Antonio, police say he confessed to killing his 18-year-old friend and dumping the body at a park.

According to police reports the 18-year-old friend had been missing for several days.

Martinez was brought in for questioning and that’s when police found out that he was also wanted on a drug warrant out of Midland.

They searched him and found his friend's credit card and he confessed.

Martinez is now facing charges of capital murder with a bond of one million dollars.

In Webb County, Jose Antonio Martinez is facing charges of aggravated assault and several prostitution charges.

Already one of the "johns" who participated in the prostitution scheme took the stand.
