Organizers say Rio Fest a success

More than two hundred and thirty competitors participated over the weekend in Rio Fest.
According to Rio Fest officials, the event was a big success.
They say people came from all parts of the United States and even from other countries just to canoe along the Rio Grande.
People stayed on both side of the border and brought a big economic boost to both Laredo and Nuevo Laredo.
According to officials, many took the day after the festival to go shopping and sight seeing around Laredo.
Organizers say they will hold Rio Fest again next year.
