Pro 8 Update: Nuevo Laredo shoot out witnesses say it sounded like a war

It has been more than 24 hours since the shooting reported across the border in Nuevo Laredo.
Today we talk to people in the neighborhood where the incident occurred.
Many didn't want to talk as they say they are afraid.
Others talked about what they saw and what they heard.
Nuevo Laredo police released a statement saying there were no reports of people killed or wounded in the 20- minute shootout yesterday in Nuevo Laredo.
However unofficial statements say there are dozens of people and soldiers wounded.
Several people were allegedly arrested, guns were allegedly confiscated, and there were allegedly several deaths.
Meanwhile our cameras went to the neighborhood were the shooting occurred yesterday afternoon.
Some said were scared, others were praying and some say they saw soldiers and civilians pointing guns at each other.
“Without even thinking we threw ourselves on the ground and you could hear the shots fired. It lasted approximately ten minutes." Efren Morales, who witnessed the shoot out told Pro 8 News.
Mario Mora was at work at the Science Institute near by.
"There were many scared hiding underneath the desks. We could hear the shots and it sounded like a war was happening right in front of the building."
The director of the science institute says there were at least 12 bullet holes in the walls of the building.
Officials with the Mexican army have not released any information about the shootout.
