No survivors in Duval county plane crash

By Ray Gomez

Both state and federal authorities are at a private ranch northwest of Benavides where a plane carrying four people crashed around noon on Monday.
There are no signs of any survivors from the flight that began in Uvalde County.
According to the FAA, the pilot of the Beechcraft King Air 100 similar to this plane, reported that he was having trouble maintaining an altitude of 25-thousand feet.
Shortly afterward air traffic controllers lost all contact with the plane.
According to DPS, four men from Florida died in the accident.
The distress call came in at about the same time as yesterday's cold front began moving into the area.
Crash investigators from the FAA are expected to arrive at the crash site today.
Benavides is about 25 miles southeast of Freer.
