State issues Blue Alert for driver who hit motorcycle cop

The Department of Public Safety has issued a Blue Alert; a car on Loop 20 hit a Laredo Police Department motorcycle officer on Wednesday.

The officer was taken to the hospital in stable condition with a possible arm fracture.

Police say the driver fled the scene.

Authorities are looking for a red Nissan Maxima with damage to the back left.
