Teacher assaulted by a former student

Four suspects, three men and a 16-year-old boy, are behind bars arrested for Retaliation, Felony 3.

The adults in the case are identified as 17-year-old Cesar Trevino, 17-year-old Jesse Amezquita and 17-year-old Ariel Mendiola. The turned themselves in Thursday afternoon.

According to police, the incident started when a woman noticed one of the suspects trying to steal her brother’s car. The brother and another man chased him off.

The suspect later returned with three other men and attacked the three victims.

The woman, a schoolteacher, later identified one of her attackers as a former student of hers.

Three suspects are held on $50,000 bond. Amezquita is being held on a $10,000 bond.
