A Zapata County Sheriff’s Deputy has been released from the hospital following a high-speed chase that led to his patrol car rolling over.
The deputy was released from the hospital late last night with minor injuries.
Zapata Sheriff Sigifredo Gonzalez says it’s all because the deputy was wearing a seat belt.
According to Gonzalez, the officer lost control of his vehicle in a high-speed chase pursuit.
His vehicle rolled over and paramedics had to use the Jaws of Life to free him.
The case is still under investigation.
