Hundreds show up for Blue Santa registration

Many families have come out to the Laredo Police Department to sign up for their Blue Santa program.
In the past two days more than four hundred people have signed up for Blue Santa.
Last year they gave Christmas presents to around two thousand kids.
According to organizers, many families are telling them they have lost their jobs and are having a rough time finding money to buy Christmas presents for their children.

"Everybody is hurting. The economy is pretty bad. Good thing about this program is that we are able to help everyone and anybody."

Sign up continues tomorrow from eight in the morning until three in the afternoon and next week from Wednesday to Friday at the Laredo Police Department.
