17-year old sentenced to 99 years in prison for murder

A local 17 year old will spend the rest of his life behind bars for murder.

A jury sentenced Emilio Barron to 99 years in prison for the murder of Jose Vidal Rodriguez back on January 20th of this year.

He was also found guilty on two counts of robbery. He was given 20 years for each.

The incident happened as Rodriguez was accompanying his son to work after celebrating a birthday.

Both victims suffered severe injuries. Rodriguez died in the hospital.
