By Ray Gomez

Border Patrol agents seize nearly 500 pounds of marijuana in two cases. The larger seizure occurred when agents responded to reports of suspicious activity near the Riverhill Subdivision. The agents observed an SUV parked that matched the description of a vehicle associated with the suspicious activity. When agents approached the unoccupied vehicle, they saw through the windows four large bundles of marijuana. The second seizure occurred near Masterson Road. Agents encountered a white sedan occupied by two people. When agents approached the vehicle, there were two large bundles of marijuana on the backseat. Both suspects were arrested and turned over to the Drug Enforcement Administration.
