Border Patrol agents work to detour careers in cartels

Border Patrol in the Laredo sector has been going to Laredo school districts and Zapata to deliver a message to our youth.
The program is called Operation Detour.
It's a public service campaign targeted to teenagers between the ages of 14 and 18 in an effort to educate them and the community about the dangers and consequences surrounding narcotics smuggling.
According to both school districts, the program has made a different in detecting gangs in schools.
The program provides a real and true sense of the tragedies of individuals who become involved with cartel.
