Police arrest stabbing suspect

Police go into high alert this morning, going on a manhunt after a stabbing in a south Laredo home.

It started as a domestic call to police at a home in the 500 block of Anilu, along Masterson Road.

There one person was stabbed.

The suspect in the case then fled the scene with a child.

Police sent advisories to the bridges in case the suspect tried to flee into Mexico.

He was later apprehended without incident at Fairfield Lane.

Arrested was Daniel Bustamante.

He is currently charged with two counts of aggravated assault with a deadly weapon, burglary of a residence, and criminal mischief.

The child was reunited with his mother.

One person was rushed to the hospital

The victim is reportedly in stable condition.
