As trash continues to collect along Laredo’s roadways residents are beginning to search for answers.
Budget shortfalls are forcing city and state agencies to cut back on clean ups and maintenance.
The Texas Department of Transportation says they pick up trash along I-35 twice a week, but the trash collection schedules along Loop 20 are few and far between.
Both TexDOT and Keep Laredo Beautiful have scheduled events in the coming weeks with the hopes of jump-starting a more responsible citywide clean up effort.
