Laredo teen organizing blood drive

By KGNS News

A Laredo teen is organizing a community blood drive with the South Texas Blood and Tissue center.
The blood drive is part of his community service hours that are mandated for his school curriculum.
15 year old Mitchell Mcrea came up with the idea as his parents are very active in donating blood.
The teen says his goal is to have 40 donors.
The event is this Saturday, March the 20th from ten in the morning until three in the afternoon.
The event will be held at the church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints off Hillside.
All presenting donors will receive a thank you gift and are eligible to win a Port Aransas vacation package.
