Three grandchildren are taken to Nuevo Laredo at the hands of an accused child abuser. They’re back in the United States in the care of child protective services thanks to a joint effort between Texas and Mexican authorities. The three were found allegedly at the hands of their stepfather. According to officials, the man fled to Mexico when he found out law enforcement was searching for him. Through a collaboration of several agencies including the Webb County Sheriff's office the children are now safe. Well Ms Martinez does have a criminal offense on record. Meanwhile, CPS was not available for comment this weekend. The sheriffs office says they’re happy with the outcome of the rescue operation, and stress that they worked in with the family, CBP, and Mexican authorities to locate and safely return three children. They turned them over to CPS for further procedures. The safety of not only these children, but all children are priority for the department.
