Aggravated Assault Arrests

Four people are arrested after police say they kidnapped a man at gunpoint. Arrested in the case are Eric Israel Garcia, Reyes Montemayor Jr., Alejandro de Leon, and a 16-year-old juvenile. Police say they responded to a call of an assault in progress at the intersection of Juarez and Madison. The 30-year-old victim said he had been forced at gunpoint into a black Dodge Charger, but the suspects eventually threw him out. A lookout was placed on the vehicle, and police were able to pull over the car on San Bernardo. Officers were able to find a handgun that was thrown from the vehicle as well as a small amount of marijuana. The four are charged with aggravated assault, aggravated kidnapping, engaging in organized criminal activity and possession of marijuana. Garcia was also charged with theft of a firearm as the gun in question had been reported stolen. Police continue their investigation.
