A man has been arrested for allegedly forging a check, but he may be in trouble for something else as well.
Police say 25-year-old Gumaro Vasquez was selling steak plate tickets, and was given a $20 check for four plates.
Vasquez allegedly forged that check, and cashed it for $40 instead.
He has been arrested for forging the check, but police say the victim never received any plates and it appears the steak plate sale was all a scam.
Authorities say Vasquez faces one count of forgery for now, but could receive additional charges if it is determined that there are more victims in the case.
