BP Agent Charged with Domestic Abuse Sentenced to Jail
The jury comes down with a verdict in the case of a border patrol agent accused of domestic violence, and after just hours of deliberation, has handed down a sentence. Jose Molina Jr. was found guilty of threatening his wife back in September 2011 and was sentenced to 90 days in jail with a fine of $4,000. Molina was also facing charges of assault and making terrorist threats. During the trial, the victim in this case took the stand, along with her mother, a police officer and an investigator who dealt with the case. In a statement today from U.S. Customs and Border Protection, they say the agent is still listed as being on administrative duties.
