Battle of the Rio Grande Takes over TAMIU

Hundreds of people made the trip to Laredo for their chance to take home trophies at this year's Battle of the Rio Grande. The martial arts tournament was held at TAMIU today. Participants ranged in ages from 5 to 55 years old. Everyone from beginner to intermediate, advanced and black-belts got their turn. "We got people from Brownsville, all the way up to Dallas and Austin, just having a lot of fun," says Joseph Gonzalez, a grandmaster. All proceeds of today's event will go towards scholarships for local high school students.
