Bird is the word for this year's birding festival! Tricia Cortez, RGISC Executive Director, and Norma Iliana Luan de Cavazos, a member of the Laredo Audobon Society, give us all the details of this year's festival.
Everyone is "Welcome & Bienvenidos" to attend the social mixer Wednesday, Feb. 6, from 6:00 - 8:00 PM, at the La Posada Hotel Philip V Ballroom, 2nd floor. The event is free for everyone!
The public is also invited to attend the 'Birds of the Brush' gallery reception Friday, Feb. 8, at Gallery 201 in downtown Laredo (San Bernardo Ave.) from 6:00 - 8:00 PM. The gallery will feature art that participated in the city-wide art contest for the Birding Festival. It's free and open to everyone!
The birding festival will wrap-up Saturday, Feb. 9, at a Farewell Banquet at La Posada Hotel's Tesoro Club at 7:00 PM. The keynote speaker will be Sandy Komito. The cost to attend is $30.00.
