"I saw something on a projecting rock in the river so I got a pair of binoculars to take a look at it and discovered that it was a human body."
This man who choose not to be identified was taking nature pictures when he noticed a dead body. He immediately contacted authorities, even though the body was on the Mexican side of the river.
"Unfortunately no one responded. I was a little saddened by that because I had hoped someone would pick up that body."
He waited four hours and no one showed up. Something he says shocked even more than seeing a dead body, that no one seemed to care.
"We along the border here are just kind of used to hearing bodies, bodies hanging from bridges, bodies found in the river."
The body dressed in men's clothing appears to have been there for a few days according to this man because of the decomposition most likely done by animals.
"I did observe a hole in the skull above the right eye and above the right temple."
