A film maker's movie makes its way to Laredo showcasing the violence happening across the border.
Charlie Minn is a film maker and makes documentaries about the devastation the drug war has caused in border cities.
The film maker's films have played here in Laredo before and Minn brings the final film of his trilogy called The New Juarez to the Hollywood Theaters Tonight.
He goes in an in depth look speaking to the people that witness the violence everyday.
"A lot of the kids even locally aren't aware of the violence going on in Mexico if we have a movie that can go out to the masses so we can show it up north these are issues that effect the border but eventually it trickles up into the bigger cities."
Minn adds that Mexico has had over 15 thousand drug cartel related murders last year and it's important to keep the tragedy in the minds of people which many Laredoans agree.
"I think it's a good idea of whats going on in Mexico cause what they think is going on over there is happening over here and its not the same thing."
"Other people in other different states of the country get an idea of what we live everyday."
Partial proceeds from the movie will be donated to the victims from of the drug related violence.
