By KGNS News

CBP officers seize 40 pounds of Crystal Meth at the Laredo Port of Entry. The seizure happened when agents encountered a 2006 Nissan Maxima at the Lincoln-Juarez Bridge being driven by a 23-year-old woman from Mesquite. During a secondary inspection, agents found 18 packages hidden in the vehicle containing Crystal Meth.
Mucia Dovalina of CBP says, “In the time the officers have to make the observations, in the 90 seconds that they have to put their skills to use to make a determination as to which vehicles get checked to have a result of 40 pounds of Crystal Meth is a good days work for anyone.” The street value of the drugs is set at $600,000. The woman was turned over to Homeland Security Investigations agents for further investigation.
