They've been campaigning for months and for some it's not over yet.
This year's elections have lasted longer than ever for many candidates who are now part of a run-off.
Today the two still vying for the county attorney seat took part in yet another political forum in hopes of keeping voters interested in a race that's still dragging on.
Candidates get another chance at getting their message across to voters today. The runoff elections are still weeks away but candidates say they’re doing everything they can to keep their message alive.
“This is unusual. This is the first time we've had two months between election and runoff and its going to be a great deal of time to do some of the things we didn’t get to do in the first campaign.”

Yet another one in what's been a very long campaign season that's nowhere near over yet.
A season of redistricting that’s pushed the run-offs back to July.
Candidate Marco Montemayor says campaigning can get expensive especially when it's lasted this long.
“We thank our supporters. Without them it wouldn’t be possible. But you’re right it is very expensive to run a campaign but without our supporters it would be difficult to do it.”
But candidates say the show must go on.
“You take it one day at a time and obviously remember the mission and the reason why we're running and that’s for a change in the community. That’s what’s most important bettering the community.”
They plan on taking advantage of every extra minute to get their message across.
“This election is extremely important for checks and balances in the 3 and a half years we've done a job that needed to be done. We’ve done it sometimes at the risk of offending some politicians but that is the reason this office is elected and that is that we represent the people.”
“The time of neglect of our children is over and they cannot be sacrificed anymore. We need a change and need someone who will take that initiative and have our priority of helping our children.”
The run-off election is scheduled for July 31st.
Early voting will take place the week before.
