Car Chase Ends in Drug Bust

A late night car chase between Border Patrol agents and another driver, ends in a drug bust. According to Border Patrol, agents spotted a Ford F-150 carrying bundles of Marijuana in plain view Monday night, January 28, 2013. Agents tried to pull the truck over, but the driver refused starting a small chase. Agents backed up around the area of La Bota Ranch and asked for back up from other agencies. Several miles ahead, they found that the 17 year-old driver of the truck had crashed into another vehicle. The driver ran from the scene, but agents were able to catch up to him in the brush area. The driver is from Mexico and has been arrested. According to Border Patrol, 292 lbs. of marijuana were seized from the bed of the truck.
