City leaders one step closer to finding the next Laredo police chief.
City officials are going through each application making sure the ones they select meet every requirement.
Last year City Council decided on some new qualifications the chief must have including a bachelor’s degree, be bilingual, and have seven years experience in at a supervisor position inside the police force.
City Manager Carlos Villarreal says they hope to present a candidate next month.
