Close to 30 pounds of crystal meth seized

Agents in Laredo seize close to 30 pounds of crystal meth at the I-35 checkpoint.
It happened on Tuesday when a 35-year-old woman from Laredo, driving a 1998 Lincoln Town Car approached the inspection lane.
That's where a Border Patrol canine unit detected the presence of drugs in the vehicle.
Agents discovered 20 bundles wrapped in black electrical tape stashed in a hidden compartment holding just over 27 pounds of crystal meth.
The drugs have an estimated value of $880,000.
