More outstanding students are honored for their part as Community Role Models.
Our own "Heatwave" Berler was present to talk to the students who excel both in and out of the classroom, but are also excellent examples for their peers.
The seniors each represent a Laredo high school. Each student nominated receives a plaque and recognition, and one student even wins a $500 scholarship.
The Webb County Sheriff’s Office, LULAC Council 7 and Your Good Neighbor Station put community Role Model on each month during the school year.
