Controversy continues to surround Council Member Charlie San Miguel.

KGNS-News spoke with the attorney for Gerardo Garcia, who has filed a lawsuit against San Miguel, accusing him of violating a clause in the city's charter regarding nepotism.

He tells us they are waiting to re-file their petition with state charges.

Garcia has gone before City Council with complaints about how San Miguel's sons allegedly got into the Laredo Fire Academy.
