Criminal Complaint Shows Details On Valadez Arrest

More details are beginning to surface around the arrest of a local educator on federal child pornography charges.
According to the officials criminal complaint, Homeland Security Investigations received information from the Webb County Sheriff's Office regarding an IP address making child pornography videos available for download in a public folder on a peer-to-peer network.
The address was traced back to a local apartment in Laredo. An investigation from HSI identified UISD teacher Jorge Valadez as the alleged owner of that IP address and a resident of that apartment.
While questioning, according to the criminal complaint, Valadez told investigators that he had downloaded child pornography to his home computer an unknown number of times over the span of five years. He also reportedly told investigators he kept videos on a shared folder for download on that network.
Valadez was arrested and taken to the Webb County Jail.
