Daily Buzz: 10/26/12 Zombie Walk

Zombies are taking over downtown Laredo this Saturday, October 27th at 6:30 PM. In honor of the national Make A Difference Day, participants are asked to contribute clothes, furniture, food, or any donation possible to help build a 'survivor fort' at St. Peter's Plaza to benefit Volunteers Serving the Need, the local food pantry for Veterans in financial need.
Participants will then be given a ticket to enter the nearby Bender Hotel, where the walk will begin. If walkers are not zombified yet, artists from Konquer Studios will be transforming humans to Zombies at a first come first serve basis starting at 4pm. Laredo Paranormal, an event organizer, will be holding a public presentation at 8PM. Later at 9PM a Zombie flick will play for all participants to enjoy. There will also be a ghost tour during the walk for $5.
