The numbers are in for just how many Laredoans hit the polls and exercised their right to vote during these early elections.
These are the numbers sent to us by the Webb County elections office.
Thirty thousand and eight ballots submitted as of this week.
With the top voting sites being at Providence Medical Center in the north part of town; followed by election central at the Billy Hall Annex and those of you in the south side historically always voting in large numbers as well.
Democratic party chair Silverio Martinez telling us the numbers are better than anticipated..
He says he thinks one heated race that attracted a lot of voters is that of Webb County Sheriff.
Martinez adds that he encourages more people to get out the vote on election day.
He thinks we can break a record here in Webb County in these elections he says the Hispanic vote is being closely followed.
