[cg:newsuper\karla tamiz\ united citizens of el cenizo] 05:52:04:25 we turned in a letter to commissioners court and were giving them 60 days to fix the issue completely and we don't want to see anymore of these problems we've been facing for years.
According to United Citizens of El Cenizo president, Karla Tamiz problems with the water have been going on for years. They would send their complaints to the water utilities department and says nothing would be done. [cg:newsuper\karla tamiz\ united citizens of el cenizo] 05:52:38:05 now we really got their attention with this notice for 60 days. 05:52:58:03 if we don't see them lift the notice and the water quality is still bad we plan to sue the county
Webb County leaders have been working with the Texas Commission of Environmental Quality to resolve the water issues. Webb county has been providing TCEQ with water samples daily to get the water back to safe levels and hopefully get the ok to drop the boil alert sooner then later.

Commissioner Mike Montemayor understands the frustration residences are going through and hopes after meeting with TCEQ tomorrow… he'll be able to share some good news for both communities.
