A woman in El Cenizo says shes been dealing with a stinky situation for too long and after pleading for help she has no one to turn to and decides to talk to us.
"I need someone to come and pick up my trash."
Maria Juarez of El Cenizo says her trash hasn't been picked up since October of last year.
She says after canceling her bill they have continued to charging her racking up a bill of 200 dollars that she cant pay because she is disabled.
Maria Juarez said, "they told me they cannot do nothing they're not gonna come pick my trash at all."
Juarez says she has been forced to look else where for help but it didn't last long.
"I've been paying someone from the ranch here in front to pick up my trash and he's been talking it to the ranch to throw it out but they found out and he said he couldn't do that anymore."
She's been leaving bags of trash around her yard.
"I put it in bags but dogs come in and tear up and now my trash is all over my yard."
Ms. Juarez says the problem isn't only at home that the city isn't getting enough support.
"I want the mayor to do something because hes not even there hes got people working there you talk to them nice and they have a real bad attitude."
In a phone interview Raul Reyes the Mayor of El Cenizo says the city has never and will never refuse trash pick up to active paying accounts.
They're in the process of identifying every person that doesn't have an account or refuses to pay and free pick up wouldn't be fair to other customers.
"It's been a year already and they never want to help me until I told them you were coming today they came this morning we are gonna go pick up the trash we are going to get you a container to put the trash in there."
She says she hopes others get the same support.
I hope they help them maybe they're gonna help me for 2 or 3 weeks but then they'll stop like they did already once."
Mayor Raul Reyes also added that the trash pickup issues are something he has been working on since he entered office.
