No more summer fun for children, it's back to school. But with the water boil alert in Rio Bravo and El Cenizo, many wonder how the children are properly hydrated at schools, not being able to drink from the fountains. UISD shows us they keep jugs of water here, and water coolers are placed throughout the school. "Here in the cafeteria, in the hallways in the nurses office." But UISD officials said this isn't something that just started during this water boil alert. UISD has had these water coolers and have provided bottled water for the past six years. "It has a little gallon on the top. On the bottom it sprays water with a cup and that's where I drink the water." "From the hallway right there you just go straight, straight then and there is the water place." Officials tell us the water fountains have been disconnected as well so students do not accidentally drink the water. So we checked, and no water came out. "We've never run out of water, it's always been made available to us. I think that the board of directors and top administration has always assured that the health is very important." School officials also want parents to know they do not have to pack their kids bottled water when they go to school. Each school in Rio Bravo and El Cenizo provides bottled water to their students.
