The FBI has launched an investigation into an alleged shootout between agents and people standing across the Rio Grande. According to officials, agents discharged their weapons across the border by the HEB on Zapata Highway, after the suspects allegedly threw rocks at them. At this time, Border Patrol officials cannot confirm if any of the Mexican nationals were hit with bullets, but we do know that no Border Patrol agents were hurt. An investigation by the FBI is underway.
