We didn't see much action tonight in the city, but this weekend it's expected to get wet. James Johnson joins us with more, James.
That’s right it's the calm before the storm. Plenty of people were out enjoying the weather. I visited a local park to see how people are enjoying the cooler conditions.
According to weather reports, this weekend is expected to be a wet one. Earlier this week it's been cloudy with a chance of rain and on Wednesday we got a little peek into what's to come. So now that it's cooler outside how are people enjoying it? I visited a local park to find out.
"Spending more time outside to play basketball with friends." "I was pretty excited to get out to skate. We haven't had good weather lately and now we're coming into fall."
You had people showing off their skills on the basketball court while other was doing tricks at the skate park. Health enthusiast were also out and about doing their exercise on the track while some families spent their time at the playground with the young ones. Today it didn't rain as bad as forecasted, but when it does what do people do to stay dry?
"I just stay inside and play Playstation and X-Box.”
Scattered shower and isolated thunderstorms will continue to affect south Texas this weekend. According to the site wunderground.com, you can expect brief heavy downpours with rainfall exceeding three quarters of an inch. Otherwise the precipitation from these showers could range from one to two inches. Gusts with these thunderstorms may approach 30 miles an hour. The main activity as of now is east of Highway 59. Families are out enjoying the weather as of now, but for how long? Laredo is currently under a flash flood watch till Saturday
Now the weather was pretty nice today and as you saw lots of people were out happy to finally get a break from the heat. For KGNS, I'm James Johnson.
