Although people try to give thanks every chance they can get, the month of November has been popularized as the official month to be thankful.
Today, many families at Memorial Middle School had lots to be thankful for.
At Memorial Middle School earlier today Judge Jesus Garza and Webb County Juvenile Department donated a turkey and all the trimmings to 60 of the schools students.
A contribution the judge is happy to make.
Judge Jesus Garza says, "it feels fulfilling because it's just one way as public officials, we are always in court handling cases every once in a while it's good to get out of the court house and do a positive thing for the community."
For 28 eight years he has been helping donate Thanksgiving dinners.
Dinners that Veronica Estrada says will help her through the holidays.
Estrada says,"the truth is, it's going to help me a lot, to be honest i don't have much it's going to help me give my children something on thanksgiving."
Judge Garza is set to deliver 50 more Thanksgiving dinners to families throughout Laredo.
