While some have been out at the Civic Center many other chose to head out to Casa Blanca State Park this morning.
People began arriving at seven this morning to save their spot at the lake as is tradition for many people in Laredo.
They brought along the entire family and lots of great food too.

Those who weren't cooking were out for a swim and say the lake is one of the best places to be on this 4th of July.
