February marks heart disease awareness month

February is the month for heart disease awareness, and the City of Laredo is hoping to spread the word. The Director of the Laredo Health Department says they are seeing more and more of the disease in women in Laredo.
He says it is one of the leading causes of death, but can be prevented with exercise and a healthy diet.
The City of Laredo Health Department is offering heart healthy events throughout the month of February.
