As many people around the city were enjoying the Fourth of July, The Laredo Fire Department was on hand for any fires sparked from the fireworks.
Since the holiday landed in the middle of the week, they say there were not many fires that broke out.
However, there were a few grass fires early Wednesday evening.
The fire department is glad residents took their advice on how to stay safe and prevent fires from starting due to fireworks.
