A firefighter convicted last month of driving while intoxicated was sentenced today in court.
Juan Carlos Gomez was sentenced to two years probation with a condition of thirty days to serve in the Webb county jail.
Gomez was found guilty on February first for driving while intoxicated.
Gomez was operating a motor vehicle on I-35 when he crashed into a Laredo police officer's unit.
The Laredo police officer was directing traffic after a single vehicle roll over on the highway when Gomez's Toyota Tacoma collided into his vehicle.
If Gomez breaks his probation he could face 180 days in jail.
